Diversion Planning

I've actually got some white space on my calendar. Since the universe will come to a screeching halt if I am not absurdly busy, I have been planning.

Mostly, I have been working on the trip to Mali and have narrowed down my options. I am waiting to hear back from one company before making a final decision, but I am fairly sure that option will be too expensive. I should also do some planning if I really am going to go to a baseball game in the Dominican Republic over Thanksgiving, but that's another matter.

The other thing I am planning is theatre tickets. I am lukewarm about a couple of the shows, but I like Signature Theatre enough to do a full season subscription with them again. I'm leaning towards a full season subscription for the Kennedy Center too, though I'm lukewarm about Wicked and I don't really need to see South Pacific again. In the nearer future, there's the Capital Fringe. I've almost decided to do a 10-pack of tickets. There are six shows that are must-sees for me (a couple of storytelling events, a couple of things by companies I've liked a lot in the past, a production of a play I have wanted to see for some time, and a cabaret of theatre music) and there's enough other stuff I'm interested in to make it fairly feasible to find another four to see. Finally, I could not possibly miss this supremely nerdy theatre evening.

I expect lots of blogging fodder.
